GEOLOGY AND FORMATION STAGES OF THE MUKODEK GOLD-ORE FIELD (NORTHERN PRIBAIKALIE)

V. A. Vanin, D. P. Gladkochub

The geological study of the Mukodek gold-ore field located within the Baikal-Muya belt of the Northern Pribaikalie is conducted. The conclusion is made based on a possible attribution of this field ore generations to a gold-quartz-sulphide formation of metamorphic-metasomatic genesis. The confinement of ore metasomatites to the long-lived Late Precambrian Mukodek fault is shown. Lateral displacements along this fault took place up to the Middle Ordovician. It is determined that remobilization of gold entered in the upper horizons of crust with Late Riphean island-arc vulcanites of the Ushmukan Formation occurred under the influence of a polycyclic tectonic reworking of this initial substrate accompanied by metamorphism and deformations. At that the Early Paleozoic stage of tectonic-thermal rock reworking showed at the turn of 470 Ma and apparently reflects a final stage of ore-forming processes within the Mukodek gold-ore field.
