The Raygorodok ore field represents the largest gold-ore objects of stockwork type. The main orehosting structures are sublatitudinal faults healed by dyke-shaped diorite bodies. Mature, thick linear zones of stockwork vein-disseminated gold-bearing mineralization have been formed along zones of maximum fracturing. This specific linear-stockwork type of gold mineralization is characterized by low, but sufficiently stable grade of gold concentration with highly consistent mineralization parameters such as thickness, strike and dip. Ore-hosting rocks are constituted by Lower Ordovician terrigenous deposits (mainly intensively skarn conglomerates) and Devonian intrusive rocks (diorites, granodiorites, porphyritic diorites, granodioriteporphyries, granosyenite-porphyries, gabbros and granites). The presence of free-milling gold-bearing weathering crust significantly increases an economic attractiveness of such objects.

Key words: gold-sulfide mineralization, gold-bearing stockwork, North Kazakhstan.
